Lookit! How freaking cute are those baby possums?
Mama Possum and babies showed up tuesday night in our laundry room. They came up through a not-to-well covered hole in the wall behind the washing machine. I think they smelled Oscar’s food, he didn’t seem to bothered by them, but then, we learned on the internet (when trying to figure out how you get a possum and babies out of said laundry room) that cats and possums get along great! How strange is that? They will even eat out of the same dish at the same time.
We ended up just leaving the light on in there, and they took off back down under the house about a half hour later. Possums are nomadic, so they have probably found someone elses house to sleep under by now, but I kinda like the idea of them being around. The babies are cute, and I guess they eat rats, so really, anything that gets rid of rats is okay by me.
